In a saucepan combine vinegar, lime juice, soy sauce and wasabi paste and bring to a boil.
Over low heat, whisk in butter, 1 piece at a time, lifting pan from heat occasionally to cool mixture and adding each new piece before previous one has melted completely, and set aside in a bowl.
Lightly brush tuna steaks with vegetable oil, and season with sesame seeds, salt and pepper, both side.
Place in the hot skillet, and sear for 3 to 5 minutes on each side.
Place tuna in serving plate and pour sauce over tuna.
Notes
This dish goes well served with vegetable biryani.
