Ingredients
- 1⁄2 cups oil.
- 2 eggs.
- 1 cup cocoa powder.
- 1 tsp vinegar.
- 1 cup buttermilk.
- 1 cup sugar.
- 1 cup chocolate chips.
- 1 tsp vanilla extract.
- 1 1⁄2 cups flour.
- 1 tsp baking soda.
- 1⁄4 tsp salt.
- Melt butter in skillet on medium heat. Do not allow to burn. Add flour, stir over low heat for 2 minutes until you have a smooth paste, but don't let it brown.
- Combine eggs, sugar, oil and vinegar in bowl. Mix well.
- Mix flour, cocoa powder and soda together.
- Add to egg mixture alternately with buttermilk, mixing well after each addition.
- Blend in vanilla, add chocolate chips and give the batter one last mix.
- Pour the batter in a loaf pan or any cake tin.
- Bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour.
- Leave to cool down on the counter top.
- Frost between layers, top and side of cake.
