Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken, boneless skinless thigh, cut into bite size.
- 1 cup yogurt.
- 3 tbsp butter, melted.
- 1 tbsp lemon juice.
- 2 tsp chili Powder.
- 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste.
- 1 tbsp turmeric.
- 1 tbsp salt, for marinade.
- 4 tsp garam masala powder.
- 1 cup tomato puree.
- 2 onions, finely chopped.
- 6 cloves garlic, finely chopped.
- 1 tsp chili powder.
- 2 tbsp honey.
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil.
- 3 tbsp dried fenugreek leaves.
- 1 cup heavy cream.
- Salt to taste.
- freshly chopped coriander, for garnishing.
- To Marinade: Place chicken pieces in a large bowl with yogurt, lemon juice, chili powder, ginger garlic paste, 2 tbsp garam masala, turmeric, 1 tbsp salt. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Spread out the marinated chicken on an oven sheet and bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Saute onion until soft and translucent. Stir in butter, chopped garlic, 2 tsp garam masala, 1 tsp chili powder. Cook, stirring, for 1 minute. Add tomato puree, and cook for 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring in honey, fenugreek and cream.
- Remove chicken from oven when its cooked well. Stir cooked chicken into sauce, add salt to taste, mix well and let it cook for another 10 min.
- Garnish with coriander leaves, serve hot.
