- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour.
- 1 tsp baking soda.
- 1 tsp saltd.
- 1 cup unsalted butter,melted.
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed.
- 1/2 cup white sugar.
- 2 large eggs.
- 2 tsp vanilla extract.
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon.
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate
- 24 individual wrapped caramels, unwrapped.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, soda, cinnamon and salt, and set aside.
- In a large bowl with an electric mixer, beat together the butter and sugars until creamy, about a minute. Add in the vanilla extract and eggs, beating to combine.
- Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, beating well after each addition. When completely mixed, add chocolate chips and stir in with wooden spoon.
- Take heaping tablespoonfuls of dough and slightly flatten in the palm of your hand. Place a caramel in the center of the dough and wrap the dough around it being sure to seal the dough completely. Place dough sealed side down on prepared baking sheets. Garnish with a few more chocolate chips.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool for a couple of minutes.
