Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds large shrimp, peeled and deveined.
- 2 tbsp honey.
- 1/4 cup ketchup.
- 1/2 cup lemon juice.
- 1 tsp lemon zest.
- 1 tsp red pepper, crushed.
- 1 tsp ginger, minced.
- 2 tsp garlic, finely chopped.
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil.
- 1 tsp sesame seeds, toasted.
- 2 tsp kosher salt.
- Combine honey, ketchup, vegetable oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, red pepper, ginger, garlic, kosher salt. Add the shrimp and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Remove marinated shrimp from refrigerator. Thread the shrimp onto skewers and toss them on the grill.
- Lightly oil the grill rack and heat the grill to medium. Grill the shrimps for 10 minutes or until the shrimp are cooked through, turning and brushing often with the marinated soup mixture.
- Meanwhile cook marinade mixture and stir for 5-6 minutes or until slightly thickened in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat.
- Transfer the shrimps to plates and pour marinade mixture over the shrimps. Sprinkle with sesame seeds (Optional) and serve.
